he Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared Hope Uzodimma, the candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, winner of the governorship election in Imo State.
The returning officer, Professor Abayomi Fasina said Mr Uzodimma polled the majority of lawfull votes and satisfied the requirements of the law.
Mr Fasina said the APC candidate Hope Uzodimma scored 540,308 votes, while the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Samuel Anyanwu, polled a total vote of 71,503
He said the Labour Party, LP, candidate, Athan Achonu, scored 64,081 votes to take the third position.
