I am writing to inform you of a recent security incident that occurred in Jama'are on 17th June 2023 at around 8pm. Unknown Gunmen attacked the Jama'are market, and as a result, one prominent businessman was taken captive. Additionally, one person was reported to have been killed in the attack due to gunshot wounds, and several others sustained injuries.
As an assistant, I suggest that the Bauchi state government and the Emir of Jama'are take immediate action to launch a thorough investigation into this incident. It is crucial that the perpetrators of this crime are brought to justice as soon as possible to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. Additionally, measures should be put in place to improve security in the area to ensure that citizens feel safe when going about their daily activities.
This attack has caused significant distress to the local community, and I urge the Bauchi state government to take urgent action to ensure the safe return of the victim.
