Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has commended the sportsmanship, foresight and commitment of the traditional rulers in the state, saying his administration will continue to support their institutions to enable them discharge their responsibilities effectively.
He was speaking today when he received in audience, the Emirs of Katagum, Misau and Jama'are at Bauchi Government House where he reiterated his administration's commitment to supporting traditional institutions, with a call on their colleagues to emulate their deep sense of humility and sacrifices.
While commending stakeholders and members of the Emirate Councils for their active participation during the presentation of the Staff of Office to Emirs last week, Mohammed described the reconstruction of the District Head palaces in the state as part of his effort to beautifying state as well as his respect to the traditional institutions.
He commended the leadership style of the Emirs adding that his administration will ensure their ascended thrones are respected and contribute positively to the development of Bauchi state and Nigeria as whole.
Earlier speaking on behalf of the delegation, His Royal Highness, the Emir of Katagum, Alhaji Umar Farouq II, appreciated Governor Bala for his tremendous achievements, kindness and respect for traditional institutions.
He added that the Emirs will continue to collaborate with the State Government to uplift the image of Bauchi State for the benefit of citizenry.
The Delegation had the Emirs of Katagum, HRH Umar Farouq II, HRH Ahmed Suleiman of Misau and HRH Nuhu Wabi of Jama'are respectively.
