Bauchi State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed today presented Staff of office to the 10th Emir of Jama'are, Nuhu Ahmed Wabi, saying his administration will continue to support to traditional institutions in the state.
The Governor at the ceremony held at Jama'are Stadium, urged the Emir to not only strive to emulate the enviable attributes of his late father, but intensify efforts for the progress and development of his Emirate and the state in general.
Bala Mohammed enjoined the Emir of Jama'are to sustain his efforts of supporting the State Government to ensure peaceful coexistence among the citizens of the state for the advancement of peace and security.
Governor Bala commended the outstanding zeal and commitment of the Emir to ensure his subjects sleep in peace and safety, calling on all the traditional rulers not to relent in contributing to societal development by working towards the continued peace, unity and development through the maintenance of law and order in their various domains.
He used the medium to remind the traditional rulers against involving in partisan politics, saying such under any guise is not only an aberration but a desecration of their institutions, and such would not be taken lightly by his administration.
In his vote of thanks, His Royal Highness, the Emir of Jama'are, Nuhu Ahmed Wabi expressed gratitude to Governor Bala for the honour and promised to discharge his duty to the best of his ability.
