Katagum Local Government has participated at the Inter Upper Basics Debate Championship organised by BASUBEB on 18th-21st October, 2022 at Zaranda Hotel, Bauchi State.
The 20 Local Governments of Katagum with the extension of Airforce Primary School as a special Slot attended.
Students from Various Upper Basics were selected to represent the Local Government with a teacher and A coach to accompany the students to the ground. Aliyu Usamatu Azare and Usman Aliyu Tsoho accompanied the students as teacher and coach respectively.
Katagum Local Government has qualified for all the rounds and knocked out it's components four time simultaneously up to Semi-Final. Those are: Kirfi Local Government, Tafawa Balewa Local Government, Toro Local Government And Gamawa Local Government Respectively. Katagum Local Government has emerged the third position where Airforce and Bogoro stepped ahead of it.
In addition to that success, The Overall Best Speaker also emerged from Team Katagum. So Katagum produced the most eloquent and best Speaker out of the 120 representatives.
